There’s no rule stating I only have to review books right?
Recently I noticed a few promo’s for a new series on Syfy called “Lost Girl” (spoilers on link). My interest was piqued. Any time there’s a new scifi/fantasy type series my interest is piqued. I just wish I had the time to sit and watch them all. I got lucky one night when I happened to be at home at the same time they were showing a rerun. It left enough of an impression on me that I felt the need to review it.
Bo is a succubus. Oh yeah, right up my alley and a TVMA warning too. Put the kids to bed guys. She is part of a race called the Fae, though she didn’t know at the time, and there’s this whole parallel world chess board routine going on around her now. You know the drill. I love, love, love her and Kenzi’s characters. The dark Fae (they have a bipartisan system – dark and light fae) are a little over the top but I can deal with that. The wolf shifting police detective, Dyson, makes me want to do bad things…you know the kind you secretly smile about but would die before telling your mom? Ironic that he also plays a ginormous (holy shit that’s a word?) lycan in the new Underworld flick. And it’s not him, it’s his character. I had no interest in him whatsoever in Underworld. Guess that might mean he’s a good actor.
Taking a look at the link has spoilers. Apparently this is a Canadian series that Syfy picked up after they were already 2 seasons in. So far, so good…meaning I shall try to find the time to watch it regularly. Or…find it on Hulu or something.
These times may very well be the golden age of the paranormal genre.
